We participated in the 29th International Conference of Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies (HKSTS) !

Mr. Nakazawa (M1) participated in the 29th International Conference of Hong Kong Society for Transportation Studies (HKSTS) held at the University of Hong Kong on December 8-9. He presented his research titled “Ruka NAKAZAWA & Junji URATA, Quantum Computation for Solving Multi-Choice Decision-Making Under Interaction.”
We reformulated the simulation of multi-choice decision-making under interaction into a quantum-computable QUBO form. We then performed actual quantum computations and presented our evaluation of the physical constraints and computable scale of the QPU. We updated the computational results based on advances in computing hardware since our undergraduate thesis. At HKSTS, where transportation is the main theme, I was able to discuss with many people, likely because they found the unusual topic of quantum computing interesting. Challenges became apparent, such as the difficulty in explaining this emerging technology and the lack of real-world data making it hard to visualize. However, I believe people found it intriguing as a promising new technology. Above all, it was an honor to present at such an international conference. Thank you very much.
